Caldwell Cemetery was established in 1852 on farmland donated by the Horace Greeley Family as an open, non-denominational community cemetery. Spanning six generations of dedicated stewardship, it remains one of southeast Wisconsin’s most cherished small community cemeteries.
We are governed by a four-member board of directors who meet annually to review operations and ensure compliance with all state and local regulations.
Our grounds offer a peaceful environment for quiet reflection and remembrance. The cemetery’s serene, rural setting provides a natural sanctuary away from the bustle of daily life. Families are always welcome to visit.
To inquire about plots or schedule a site visit, please reach out to us using the form or contact details below. We typically meet with interested families directly at the cemetery to walk through available sites.
When we lost my father last spring, we didn't know where to begin. Warren walked us through everything at the cemetery in person — no pressure, no rush. The grounds are peaceful and beautifully kept. Knowing the plot is deeded and cared for permanently gave our whole family real peace of mind. We're so grateful a place like this still exists.
Our family has had ties to Caldwell Cemetery for three generations. When it came time to plan ahead for ourselves, there was never any question about where we'd go. The pricing is straightforward, the care is genuine, and the setting is exactly what you'd want for a final resting place. It's a true community treasure.
I contacted Caldwell Cemetery after being referred by our funeral director, and I'm so glad I did. The process was simple and honest — no hidden fees, no confusing paperwork. We purchased adjacent plots for my wife and I, and we feel completely at ease knowing everything is taken care of. Highly recommend to any family in the area.
After my mother passed, we were looking for a quiet, non-denominational place that felt right for our family. Caldwell Cemetery was exactly that. The grounds are serene, the board members were kind and patient with all of our questions, and the perpetual care included in the price meant we didn't have to worry about anything going forward. A truly dignified place.
